I plan on putting iron-on letters on a plain navy shirt I have that says “Fish are friends not food” like from “FInding Nemo”.

atlantis_childParticipantSeems the greater number the number in the school the bolder they are.
Dunno if having more increasing chance of getting fry. To make plainer, if there were 1 male and 1 female together in a tank would those 2 be as likely to breed together with more of them around? Does numbers make a difference?

atlantis_childParticipantNot perfect at all, but in if no human is around to translate, there is always Babelfish (no, not a real fish, an on-line translator) Based on “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”‘s babelfish.

How I got through French class. But also one of the reasons I did badly in that class…

atlantis_childParticipantWell looks like you’re still here Chris.
Going to bed or what?

atlantis_childParticipantOr we could just find a time during the week when we all go on the computer and run around the different forum sections like crazy! Posting all over the place!
Gotta go. Dinner time actually.

atlantis_childParticipantJust hope that what is next is not some young fish-hating hacker boy testing out his skills…
Sorry, sorry. Had to say somethting

atlantis_childParticipantI just replaced my 3 white clouds with my (only 3 now ) galaxies for five neon tetra. The WC’s weren’t being good buddies.
They’re doing great. Shoaling together and galaxies are much more confident with them around.

atlantis_childParticipantWhat’s creeping me out is that the amazon.com adds are advertising books I was looking at on their site.
And they are realated to fish at all…

atlantis_childParticipantI had to buy special salt from the fish store as ALL regular salt is required to have iodine in it in Canada.
Haven’t tried it out yet. Tried with normal salt, but didn’t get to many. Then got clumsy and splilt what I did have over carpet. Oops…
atlantis_childParticipantMaybe put an add in the paper. “experienced fish caretaker wanted.” Of course you’d have to pay them, and probably should ask a few important questions to judge their ability at raising fish and fish first aid.
There are people that could look after them out there. They just aren’t running “Fish Kennels”
I’m leaving next spring for 2 or 3 monthes and don’t trust my family with my babies so I’ll definately be finding someone that knows fish. My family appreciates their beauty, but is clueless when it comes to taking care of them.

atlantis_childParticipantDo those fish I see with fry look after them? Must be nice to have those kind of fish rather ones that gobble them up ASAP…
Nice pictures, especially the last one.

Besides…Pearls are whiteish, not gold. Now that I know for sure!
Ha ha… that’s why they’re “celestial” pearls!
Oh great. Now somebody thinks there’s oysters making pearls up in space. And gold pearls no less!

On bettas, where did you get a purple betta?!?!?!?!?! I have been searching for a purple half moon and can’t find any… I have been told that a true purple doesn’t exhist. I have one blue half moon (he looked purple when I bought him) and 3 females (one copper, one black devil with full blue irridescent mask, and a red with blue irridescent).
Well my betta isn’t PURE purple. He’s a bit red, a bit blue but mostly purple. Fins are def. purple. (they look awesome when he gets a sight of himself in mirror) But unless one pressed their nose right up to the glass while he was still, they’d swear he’s purple.
My sister gave him to me for christmas after me asking, so dunno where she got him. He’s the common kind, not a fancy kind. A chain petstore probably. It makes me sick to see any fish in a bowl especially a betta or a gold fish. Again, lets educate people about how a fish …
Actually, now that you mention it, the first and best people to educate would be those staff at petstores. Everytime I pass the bettas in their tiny jars I feel sorry for them, and if I make any “aww, poor babies,” noises, a staff member “reminds” me that they “have it much better than in the wild, blah, blah, blah.”
And then I usually give him an incredulous look, and get away from the idiot.
before I lose control and kick him in the face!

atlantis_childParticipantOh, I’m really, really against this crazy eff’ed up fish business.
If a creature isn’t naturally beautiful to the human eye, the most humans’ should do is selective breeding. Most of the wild ones are gorgeous without though.
Like our little galaxy beauties… Prefect the way the are!
– Atlantis Child
atlantis_childParticipantI love bettas the way they are. Besides, they’ve had enough mistreatment already. Betta bowls, sticking them in flower vases, tiny half-gallon aquariams etc.
My betta is my favorite fish. He’s a gorgeus purple King of the 20 gallon tank, and nothing goes on in his kingdom that he doesn’t know about!– Atlantis Child
