Hi everyone, members and non members . My fishroom started up on the 1st of august and i am rapidly running out of room  . I have never bred so many fish before and am quite chuffed as to how it going.
I have got some more pics for everyone to see..Nannacara Anomala with eggs
BABY RAMS (JUST STARTING TO COLOUR UP)
JUVINILE NANNACARA 3 MONTHS OLD (NOW FOR SALE)
PELVICACHROMIS TAENIATUS (BIPINDI) WITH FRY
August 23, 2007 at 11:25 pm #11896atlantis_childParticipantDo those fish I see with fry look after them? Must be nice to have those kind of fish rather ones that gobble them up ASAP…
Nice pictures, especially the last one.

The Pelvicachromis Taeniatus in the last picture are my current favourites, they brought the babies out of the cave 2 days ago and are busy shepherding their young around the tank. Well recomended if you can find them, they are a bit harder to find in the shops than their cousin Pelvicachromis Pulcher (Kribenis).

are those Nannacara Anomala rams? (sorry im clue less on most fish) but it looks nice
chris
ps time to convert the other half then lol
August 24, 2007 at 11:27 pm #11933ste12000ParticipantNo the rams are… Microgeophagus Ramirez..
the Nannacara Anomala are also known as golden eye dwarf cichlids.Chris if you would like to try either of these or any of my other dwarfs you are more than welcome to visit and pick some juviniles up from me.(this go’s to anyone else who lives local).
They are a lot more interesting to breed than the CPD’s and any other egg scatterer’s, they show a great deal of parental care. In fact i am now thinking of getting rid of my CPD’S to free up a bit of space for some new fish.August 24, 2007 at 11:38 pm #11938chr15_8Participant@ste12000 wrote:

Of course ill be sticking around,i think the people on here are great. I thought you lived in cheshire!! Must of got you mixed up.
I am currently working out how to offer a excellent postage system that will allow me to post fish safely and quickly. This way i can sell my fish on auction sites and my own website which i want to create, this way i can get a slightly better price for my fish than the local fishshops give.
If you agree i will use you as a tester and send you some fish, No charge of course just let me know what time they arive and in what condition. I will speak to you again closer to the time if you agree!!August 24, 2007 at 11:49 pm #11946L168ParticipantIve reorganized my fish room, removed a 180 cm x 70 cm x 50 and put in shelving for 19 112L 80cm x 35cm x 40cm and found a new rack for 20 30 x 20 x 20 aquariums.
Picking up 40 CPDs this weekend all fully grown so once they have been reaclimatised to my water then ill been seeing which setup produces young.Mfg Peter
August 24, 2007 at 11:51 pm #11949chr15_8Participantsounds a good idea to me.
ill also send you some cpd’s back so you can see for yourself on the condition they arrive if you keep cpds long enough
i live just outside london. i have a mate how lives up in cheshire been there twice.
chris
edit
also would love a good postage system as on another website alone ive had 8-9 pm’s asking wheather i would send themAugust 24, 2007 at 11:55 pm #11951L168ParticipantI dont know about this in the UK but in germany theres a website mainly for students who travel home at weekends and they advertise car space for a small some, the german fishkeepers use it to transport fish as its illegal in germany to use the postage system and only one company actully transports live fish and that GO Express. Ive used the student once and the fish where picked up by the student and dropped off at my house 6 hours later.

August 25, 2007 at 12:03 am #11956ste12000ParticipantOh L168..Pics..pics..pics. I need to see this fishroom, mine is a tiny shed measuring 6×4, i do have the other side to convert 7×6 but it ill not hold that many. I have worked out at.
Small side.
Seven 16x8x8 top row
five 18x12x12 middle row
five 18x12x12 bottom row
Larger side.
Nine 24x12x15 on one rack
Three 36x15x15 on another wall
Three 48x15x15 on anotherthis would give me a total of 32 tanks of various sizes and allow a good growout section.
September 2, 2007 at 10:15 pm #12050chr15_8Participantdo you have a picture of the fish room from the doorway looking in? at the room and tanks
thanks
