From the name i think your from germany, as for you tank id place Hornwart (Hornkraut) as a swimming plant in there too, the temp id have at around 24°C.

Personally id leave out the Beta Splendins but thats my point of view and put 10 rather than 7 CPDs in your aquarium.

I also tend to feed mine twice a day but only as much as they can eat in 2-3 minutes, i also have a day where i dont feed them usealy Sundays as i do my water changes on saturdays and dont like feeding them directly after a water change.

According to my sources (Glazer and Mimbon) the biggest importers in Europe, there are no wild CPDs being exported, all the stock the importers have are home bred by a few fishbreeders who got the first imported stock.

A few tips.

1. Shave and dress smartly
2. Dont try to bluff, if you cant answer a question then be honest and say you dont know, but you will try and find out.
3. Always say sir even if they have told you thier name.

My eldest daughter (15 now) used to be the same, i used to go on a fish shop tour every thursday night (shops open till 8pm) and she would always be the first by the car even if it meant driving 5-6 hours for a good tour. Now shes old enough and had a change of intrest (BOYS). She still comes with me to the importers on a Wednesday night (Import day) and helps unpack the boxes that have arrived but she dosent want a fish tank anymore.

We are in the same boat Ste, the fish room is kept locked when im not at home my wife goes in there once every couple of months, says silly things like is that new and she always gets the same answer “no ive had it a couple of months now “

Hi Katkin,

I didnt want to go back to the U.K after 10 years in Germany and Canada so i signed off, i work now for the local counsel as a bus driver, it pays the bills till the children have done their A Levels, then its the big move back to Canada

Hi Katkin, i know whats its like, im ex army living in Germany. Ive was lucky once Dortmund closed down i managed to stay in my married quarter and i eventualy brought it.
