I like this idea. Not to sure about what kind of prizes though.
I think a poll would be best to pick the winner. But make one user only able to vote one time. I can’t imagine people would go and make a lot of accounts just to win.CrazedpufferParticipantMy cpds are shoaling with the guppies.
CrazedpufferParticipantNahh my hair is black.
I do have a lot of blonde moments though.CrazedpufferParticipantI believe they can. When a puffer gets air in ther system you have to burp it out of them but it can come out naturally. I think same would apply to a platy.
CrazedpufferParticipantMy old porcupine puffer. He was definitly far from dumb but he was lacking common sense. He’d see me with the cup of food in my hand and he gets so excited that he is like attacking the glass. So I poured food in and he’d keep lookin and swimming at me. I had to hide behind the couch and watch him eat otherwise he’d just keep swimming to me.
CrazedpufferParticipantWelcome to the forum!
I would put a top on it just to be safe. I don’t believe CPD’s are jumpers but any fish that gets scared can jump out of a tank with ease. You will need some plants though. Java moss is very easy to keep and used for mating.CrazedpufferParticipantI had a goldfish die from finrot without the white specks. He got a cut on the back of his tail and the tail just jept dissapearing untill eventually he died.
Your cat prob. did eat part of the goldfish’s body. I wouldn’t be concerned.
It shouldn’t be contaigious. I wouldn;t worry about that either.CrazedpufferParticipantCould be over medication. Do a 50% percent water change. If they show signs of sickness again do a Melafix + Pimafix combo.

At night, my females’ gravid spots turn pink and in the morning they become black again. Is that normal/okay?
Why “don’t buy top fin”?Yep when the gravid is red it means the babies are sleeping when the gravid is black the fry are awake.
CrazedpufferParticipantThanks. Yeah it is fine black sand.
CrazedpufferParticipantYeah Flubenol is the way to go! Hope all works out.

Can you use Epsom salt baths for internal parasites? Not something I’ve ever tried, but I’m sure I’ve read about it somewhere.
KI don’t think so. I’m not sure a full on SW bath would help either.
CrazedpufferParticipantSunken bellies is a sign of Internal Parasites. If they have white poop then they def have IP’s. Most meds should be soaked in food half an hour before feeding and I think most brands on the markey don’t work. I know there is a medicine that can be added straight to the tank and work. If you’d like I can get you the specific info on good name brands and such.
CrazedpufferParticipantAquarium salt is best used to aid treatment of disease. I never heard of using it for stress, I’d personally do a water chang eand try to get all the salt out of there. Also what are they eating? Do they have sunken in bellies? What color is there poo?
CrazedpufferParticipantBaby brine shrimp?
