7×5 for £200 doesnt seem to bad, along with the insulation and timber needed you might be looking at around £300-£350 all in.. Well worth it i say..

do you how much a 8x4ft sheet of 0.95(ish)mm ply and a 8×4 slap of polystryene?(sp.) would cost at regular cost?

chris
chr15_8Participanti will do. totaly forgot you had all those!
chris
chr15_8Participantcheers
added it to my favoiteschris
chr15_8Participantnope i havent used greenline but i will be this time (only becasue EA have stopped selling plants  )
my subtrate in this tank is screwed up to be honest due to being sold wrong products. (mainly lfs)
any way i was sold a product which ‘is very good for a planted tank under normal stones/sand so i bought it and relised after i put it in it was normal amnky looking gravel.
so i bought another type of substrate (tetraplant) wasvery happy with it except the lfs(a different one may i add) only had one box/tub. so i bought the pure Laterite aswell. i wenrt very happy with the coverage of the pure laterite. so i decided i would order up the ‘proper’ tropica substate.
i have used this before and was amazing only reason i didnt use it first time was because i wanted to set it up that day and the only place i can get it from is mail order!
not very interesting and more than likely boring lol
substrate in plated tanks are normally nutritious for the plants root systems.
as i said tropica is probably the best you can get
chris
chr15_8Participantnope
if you look at the bottam of my 1st post it was that one
they all seem healthy now.
as in my other post a have ‘fat’ male and have noticed a skinny female (seems to be eating though)
chris
chr15_8Participantam also 18
chr15_8Participantthanks
will be keeping the ones i have as mine seem to have slowed down the breeding and they will probably end up in the planted tank when big enough.
handy to know anyway
thanks chris
chr15_8Participanteerrr when i get some plants i surpose
ive been busy recently and i still need to order my plants.
i only filled the tank up abot 2 weeks ago and have started transferring them back (going to be hard to plant and dont want to keep moving the fish in and out/stressing them
chris
chr15_8Participantcongrat ste you dont know how much i which i had the fish house with tanks running!
have you got a link ot your adverts as if/when i get it built i know who to come to for fish
good luck
chrischr15_8Participantgreat pictures again glen.
need to get more corys for my planted tank as there great fish
chris
chr15_8Participantcongrats, you deserve it after the last accedent.
how they doing know?
chr15_8Participantas said i use a bleach dip. only way i beleive you know for sure your not going to have any snails/pests
its looks alot harder than it actually is it only takes about 5 mins to do and is worth it imo.
also after the steps i have put the plants into a tank with fish and have had no bad effects
