Ok thanks for the outlooks.
I changed the tank around a little bit. I removed everything on the right side and added some fake grassy plants to the entire bottom of the tank for a spawning bed. If I don’t see any fry or any breeding behavior then I’ll add java moss.
One thing I’m worried about is that I think I only have one female. I’ll prob get a couple more…
link to plants that are similar to what I added…

chadlyParticipanthey all, here’s an update on the tank. I totally rescaped as you can see. The rock pile is hollow in the back and the cpds seek refuge there.
The new plants are:
Stargrass (sides)
Elatine triandra (front)
Peacock moss wallclose up of the peacock moss wall (not grown in yet)

no prob, there’s a lot of inspiration on that page.
chadlyParticipantthanks,
you may be able to guage the size by the thermometer and the sponge filter.
chadlyParticipantThanks, The fish are hiding in the tangle of moss. I will split them up and try to get two groups going. Prob in a 20g or 45gal. I’ll prob leave 3 in this tank.
chadlyParticipantChad here, I’m from mid-michigan (lansing area). I’m 29 years old and married now for 2 years, have a 3 year old son and a 46 day old daughter. I started keeping fish in 2002. I keep 7 tanks as of now, w/ several others empty waiting for fry. My fish loves include; piranha, plecos, small catfish, central and south american cichlids, as well as tetras.
I haven’t known about Galaxy rasboras – OOPS!! did I just type that – I mean Celestial danios for only a few months now. I first heard about them on another forum. They didn’t intrigue me until about two months ago when I they had finally made it within my reach. I keep 11 of them in a 3 gal eclipse tank at the moment. I intend on splitting them up into smaller groups and breeding them soon.
I hope to get to know some of you and will keep posting up w/ questions and experiences of my endeavor.
