BioTech Ultra Fry Food No.3 for the adults. It’s all natural and they just love it. Also add microworms but only twice a week.
WoodyParticipantThanks – but not heard of TB in fish and we rarely get TB here in Australia. What can I do just in case it’s TB?
Lost another one yesterday. They seem to have a bloody sore on one side just behind the gills (about middle of the body – little bit toward the front) that seems to be just under the skin. It’s about twice as round as their eye in size. I tried to get a shot but my camera just isnt up to it – very annoying.
I seperated it into a tank with broad spectrum medicine with no luck. I dont want to lose any more – anyone got any ideas please!!

OK, I have 14 Pearls – 10 from one source, 4 from another. The difference in colour between them is amazing. The 4 all look just like the photos on the forum home page, but some of the 10 are a little different – they are larger and have yellow instead of the red/orange. They all get fed the same and are in the same tank. Maybe I have some genetic mutation? Anyone else had something similar?
I had not noticed this reply you may already know but that is what the females look like. The ratio of male to female is good
I’m able to sex the lot (2 of the 4 are male, 2 are female; of the 10 it’s about 50/50 ish too but I cant recall exactly and I’m at work). It’s the yellow ones I’m puzzled about – there are males and females that are yellow. I tried to get a decent shot but only manged to get one that is in focus out of so many attempts!! Will try to post the decent one later tonight (Oz time) pending children allowing me access to the computer.
