I have two tanks for my cherry shrimp and at the moment the shrimp in with my 15 adult cpd are reproducing much much more quickly than my others. Very strange.

If you already have them then you have no choice but like you say I’d aim for a lower temp and hope the rams are ok. They can be very sensitive fish though any pics of your tank it sounds like a nice one!

Your tank is huge. I doubt there will be any problems. In a small tank the fish might accidentally cross breed but unlikely in such big tank

I’ve not heard of cpds cross breeding but I suppose its possible. How big is your tank?

I’d try to move them with the tank water the eggs wont like a change in water parameters.

luckily I got my wilds when they were only £4 and they bred well so I’m up to a group of 15 now

it just means that they haven’t been fertilised and/or they are getting fungus. Remove the white eggs quickly
