Tom2006Participant
did you get sorted with some?
September 30, 2010 at 10:31 am in reply to: Who knows where to sell a massive ammount of CPD’s #14563Tom2006Participantwhats yours price for a 1000? Thats a lot of fish!…are they bred by your good self?
Tom2006ParticipantNo sorry I don’t. CPD’s are naturally timid but in a group of 15 should be ok. How big are the killis? Virtually all fish will eat shrimp if they will fit in their mouths
Tom2006ParticipantCongratulations!
Do you have plants in the tank? If so there will be micro life in there that they will feed on. Moss is superb for this!
I feed mine very very fine crushed food of any sort and after a few weeks you can try some baby brine shrimp.
Tom2006ParticipantI’ve never kept mine with other fish other than corydoras and plecs. They should be ok but they are very timid fish and like a nice mature tank so just keep a close eye on them for a while
Tom2006ParticipantGreat advice from Dennis!
September 18, 2010 at 10:03 pm in reply to: can pearl danios survive without filter for 20 hours #14552Tom2006ParticipantDon’t do it. Just cover the filter intake with sponge. Turning it off will crash your filter and probably kill your adults let alone any fry
Tom2006Participantmore likely to be snail eggs. cpd eggs fall to the bottom and don’t stick and are VERY small
Tom2006Participanti’ve read lots of stories from people all around the world reporting similar swimming problems so for me it must be genetic even if there are ways to help lessen the problem. I just let the problem ones die if they were going to figure its survival of the fittest
Tom2006ParticipantWhen mine were breeding I had the EXACT same problem with some of the fry. Some when very small some when much larger. Some got better without any help at all and some just died. It must be some sort of problem with the fish themselves
Tom2006ParticipantGorgeous fish!
Tom2006ParticipantFingers crossed you don’t lose anymore
Tom2006ParticipantHave you seen any jumping since taking the crayfish out if not that’ll been the cause.
Tom2006ParticipantMine have never jumped something is not to their liking and it could well be the crayfish. Sorry I’ve lost some.
Tom2006ParticipantFlying cpd! Lol good he landed in a tank. As Dennis says they don’t nip a nice peaceful gush
