mackParticipantiv’e got a pair of powder blue dwarf gourami in my community tank with the c.p.d & they seem to get along fine
i did have 6 albino tiger barbs in there too,and they never bothered the smaller neon’s or harlequins in the tank, but as soon as the c.p.d were added they hassled them all the time,so they (the barbs) have been moved to another tank
mackParticipantnice pictures
bette rthan my efforts-they move too quick for me, i can’t get any decent piccy’s of my c.p.d
mackParticipantexcellent info dennis thanks
i wil start to try a breeding program with my fish, using some of the above advice
although space is very limited,to start i plan to use a bredding trap/hatchery in my main tank, and use the moss in that to start with
as for the green water i use spirulina in my home made mixes for my discus (seperate tank to the c.p.d),i would have thought it would be too strong & rich for fry, unless diluted in miniscule amounts
i have succuessfully used old iceberg lettuce heads in my green water, just squash it down, mix with mature tank water and add sunlight
i’ll lwt you all know if i have any joy with the c.p.d & how i did it
mackParticipanti paid £3.75 each for mine
so i’m hoping to breed them & get more into the trade,so A-prices come down & B-more people own this beautiful fish
mackParticipantcheers for the heads up
just discoverd i have a mix of male & females
so time to start reading up on breedingcpd’s are still very scare & expensive here in the u.k
mackParticipantdiscus are my 1st love
currently only got a pair
nice full pattern blue turq’s 1 snakeskin & 1 checkerboard
in the same tank as them are around 12 cardinal tetra’s & 12 glowlights,with 2 corydora’s sterbai
(iv’e also got 2 very nice l46 zebra plec’s on order for in there too )my community tank has 6 cpd’s a pair of blue dwarf gourami, around a dozen neon’s,9 harlequins,6 albino tiger barb’s
and in tank 3 just a nice comon plec
want more tamks-but wife says noo
