2nd day here, I see some mating dance but I’m not quite sure, cause the temperature is 26C. When I open the lights I can’t see any of the 5 on marble container; the left with mesh is fine, they swim in the light too. I think marbles shine in the light, that makes them a little nervous. Also floating plants are swimming due the flow of sponge filter. Maybe their shadows frighten CPD.

I got some 5g plastic containers today. I’m gonna try the marbles method in one of them. I don’t know how it will work out though. I’ll use marbes in bottom, moss on top of that. After this try, maybe I can use small dose of medication for fungus.

A friend of mine has a 20g long that has a divider down the middle of the tank. He puts the breeders on one side and then moves them to the other side after a few days.

What does he use for divider? Glass or fine mesh? Cause I was thinking about using a mesh, but frys can get to adults part I think.

    Thanks for the welcome, Dennis.

I used a fine mesh on the bare bottom of my aquarium to prevent CPD eating the eggs. But the marbles seems like a more permanent solution than a mesh. I couldn’t find a thick mesh so 3-4 times the adults swim under it. What’s wrong wit the marbles?

I’m trying some green water here for my first fry. But I don’t know if they are eating it, they are so tiny!
I hope I can find some fry food here, we don’t have any golden pearls sold around here. I’ll try some fine powdered flake & pellets.
