    Thanks :)
Cool, I will wait till they reach 10 weeks or so before moving them in with their parents.

That is true but you can always quarantine them for couple of weeks. Or find someone were you live who has CPDs so you can trade some fish with them, that’s what I’m gonna try to do, I hope I can find someone in my state…..

IMHO I would try to keep the gene pool as fresh as possible. I am planing to obtaining some more CPDs so I can breed my fry when they ready.

Quick update, all fry is doing great so far *knock on wood* they about 6-7 weeks old.
Will try to post some pictures soon.
I also been wondering how long should I wait before moving them in with their parents? Parent tank has 2 HOB filters and I am scared they might get sucked in….

    That is pretty fast :)
I can’t wait for them to grow.

And they are in the parents tank, without parents the only tank mates they do have is ramshorn snail babies.
The food you gave me a link I am not sure if they ship to US I need to find out if they do. But for now they do seem to eat arctic copepods and daphnia flake very finely crushed and I also soak it in a small cup before giving it to them. The tank has been running for a while as well so there should be something for them to eat, my snails thrive in there so there got to be something :)

Thanks again for the help and advice.

    Thanks for the reply.

I removed the parents, and discovered the fry while cleaning the tank. I tried to collect them but gave up and just put them back into a tank with an old water, the ones I caught and had them floating in the container ended up inside the tank as well, the container flipped over. I guess they ok in there I have a filter with a sponge attached, and lot’s of plants that now floating in a big bundle the at the top since they were supposed to be replanted but the whole rescaping will have to wait until these guys get a bit bigger, and the only tank mates they have at the moment is baby ramshorn. Thanks for the link to the food.

    One last question :)
    How fast do they grow?

    welcome!

I’d love to advise but still waiting for mine to breed. Gorgeous fish though. Fingers crossed we both do it!

My tank is approx 40 litres, heavily planted with mainly java moss. Tiny powerfilter and a sponge filter. I just feed crushed flake.

They are gorgeous. I fell in love with these little guys as soon as I seen them in my LFS. I hope they will breed for me so that I can have a nice shoal of them :)

Good luck to you and if you have a successful breeding I would love to hear all about it :D
