CrazedpufferParticipant
I’d put the baggies in a cooler.
CrazedpufferParticipantI love Endlers. I don’t really see them much anymore around here though
Wild Guppies are not the same as Endlers though some do look a lot alike. We also do get lots of fancy guppies but they all seem good quality to me.CrazedpufferParticipantJust so you know he will need at least a 10 gallon tank very soon, he’ll grow to be about 6 inches.
CrazedpufferParticipantKeep gravel and a small amount of water in the tank.Enough to totally cover the gravel in water and be about half an inch above it. Put decor in another bucket with water. See if you can get bags from your LFS like they use and bag the fish up.
CrazedpufferParticipantSorry about your loss. At least he’s in a better place now. Also what are your plans for Nibbles?
CrazedpufferParticipantCan they really? That’s so cool!
Back on topic some breeders use wild guppies to breed with there fancy tail guppies to increase the color of them and to increase there health.CrazedpufferParticipantWhat are you feeding them? The fish should calm down and stop picking on the male soon enough but if it gets bad you might want to seperate him too. Glad to hear Nibbles and the frogs got a new home. Hope everything works out.
CrazedpufferParticipantCool thanks!
CrazedpufferParticipantThat male sounds like he is sick. Do his scales look like they are popping off? If your yellow male is gettin that aggressive it might be best to remove him. How much does it heat up? All the fish in there do good in warm water also (with the exception of Nibbles) Do you have live plants? What kind? I wouldn’t unscrew the bulb. Keep the light on even when your not watching the fish. I keep my lights on for about 9 hours. Yes you should unpot plants and take off the excess dirt and put the roots into the gravel.
CrazedpufferParticipantI have. Don’t remember exactly what they looked like, but I know they were some of my favorites.
CrazedpufferParticipantMy tank had a lot of places to hide too. My goldfish could barely swim but it managed too. It will work for a limited time but eventually they will be gone. It’s your decision for your tank so I really can’t say much. Trust me everyone in the tank will eat the babies. If you have a lot of plants some will live but sadly most won’t make it. No clue how to get the snail out of the shell. How long have you had the snail? How was it aclimated?
CrazedpufferParticipantIf the whole litter is drab and ugly, I wouldn’t bother. If one fish is drab while it’s brothers and sisters are pretty breed ti because it still carries the gene of it’s siblings. They have the dominant and this one has the recessive. It’s litter will all be pretty though.
CrazedpufferParticipantYes I have fancy Guppies also the same size as my fan tail. It worked for a little more then a week before they got eaten. Also all the fish in the tank will eat babies. Do you have a seperate tank for the babies too?
CrazedpufferParticipantI have a fantail goldfish too. Only about 2 inches. He had a swim bladder problem and couldn’t swim much so I put him in my 10 gallon guppy tank so he would be able to go to the surface for air. It helped him and he was swimming fine. I kept him in there for a few extra days to be safe and soon all my guppies were gone. The tank was full of guppies and I was down to about 4. Soon enough your goldfish will take a turn and eat your guppy if it keeps annoying him.
CrazedpufferParticipantGoldfish aren’t tropical community fish at all. I’m surprised your goldfish hasn’t eaten the guppy yet.
Also chances are the female guppy won’t give birth to the yellow guppies babies anytime soon. They hold on to the same sperm for months and have multiple batches of babies from it. -
