    looks great!

only bad thing i see is the airpump. im not a fan of blagdon airpums (from experience)

have been through 2 before (sent 1 back got a replacment) 2 within a bout 1 and a half years). the second one stated to get loud and started to drop in pressure before it made a noise with nothing coming out.

just warning you and hope i got 2 dodgy airpumps

what are you stand made out of and how?

Hello CPD lovers! :) Can I please ask a few questions>
    How many can I keep in a 4 gal cube, 10 X 10 X10?

i would say about about 5 -6 depending of filter and how densly planted it is

Can I keep more than 1 male, all males? I was thinking 3 or 5?

yes you can keep more than 1,
i couldnt see a problem with all males but i would personaly go for 2 males and 4 females or 3 and 3 at a push (again depends on how dense the planting is etc (in reply to atlantis’ comment about males being prettiest same as most things :P )

    Are they known to jump?

i have never seen mine jump and rearly see them by the surface (only at feeding when the brine shrimp are at the surface)

    What ph do they need?

sorry carnt help you there. but what atlantis said sounds about right

Are they like other danios, always on the move?

mine hide a fair bit (i see them but there normally in the plants)

What do they eat, and how often should they be fed?

i feed mine on brine shrimp (adult) i feed a bag (100 grams) that iu get from my pet store. they all seem to be eaten within a few hours

mine wont touch bloodworm unless they havent be feed for a while, theyll eat live daphina but i hardy feed them it

    Any help appreciated, thanks. 8)

ste i am a ‘quailified electrician’ now so that no problem.

the work on yours sounds very cheap to me. i m looing at putting a double socket for 2 tanks im now planning on having 15 bigger tanks (when i say bigger i mean 2-3ft) tanks for about 8 doubles (incase i need to add heater for the different fish etc)

ive seen a link to normal tubes (most electrial wholesalers should have them) on the internet costing about £3.50 each whick some planted people use. ill have a look for you.

has any one got a fan or dehumidefier? (sp.)

Miines in my celler but what i did could be applyed you a shed, i insulated the outside wall and inside wall (10cm outside 5cm inside 10cm celing) what youll have to do seeing as yours is outside also put a minimum of 10cm under your shed too (i used Sturodur, dont know what its called in english but its a very hard polystyrene). Make sure youve got an extra fuse box for your shed. Now my shelving is made from untreated wood, dont seal the wood as wood works and if its sealed and a crack and water gets in, it has no way out so will start to rot the wood from the inside.

    Mfg Peter

    thanks

that sturodur looks siulair to kingspan which is very costly

as said above looks like im using 5cm polystyrene and a layer of foil buble wrap allround (claims to be as good a 5.5 cm)

fuse box is no promblem still have to do a new shed supply with a nice big fuse box for me to use.

for shelving i was going to use 28mm kitchen work tops (cheap ones can be from £15 for 3 meters) and i know i can trust them.

    thanks again

    edit
i wont forget the essebtials lol (mainly the hot things)

also what have you done for lighting? i was think of using 2 5ft fittings and no light for the tanks

    cheers ste.

i will be getting expanding foam for any little gaps and will also be using thermal insulation foil roll (the brand i found claims to be a effective as 55mm of polystrene)

and for the difference of a £1 for an extra 25mm in i think ill go for the 50mm polystrene and this foil roll stuff. will also be using both under the floor and the stuff you get for laminate flooring under the lino (have lots of laminate flooring stuff left over)

all the wooden joints (from joining walls together) i will be using a sealent to help get a seal.

as you say its the little things that you normally forget like airline/ brackets

for the airline/air supply im going to use 20mm tube around the shelves and i will drill into the tube where i need an air source for the filters using connectors i found in b&q.

carnt go any deeper thank 2.1 m(7ft) due to space as my dad still need abit of storage but i will go almost max width at around 5ft

thanks again for the prices as i said i will be going for the thicker 2 inch due to the price difference not being to much. in b&q/wickes (where ive got most my prices from) are about 2x more for 2 inch.

    anyway il stop boring people

    i need help!!!!!!!!!

im trying to work out how much sheeplap i need (it goes around the outside of the shed)

it comes in lengths of 4200mm (4.2 meters) it is 137 mm wide, my shed is going to be about 1900mm tall (this will assume its a box with no roof)

so i devided 137mm into 1900mm to get 13.86 (so round it up to 14 pieces)

this comes in 4.2 meters as i said, my shed is going to be 2.1meters long so it will be both the long sides in 1 piece. so therefore i need 14 pieces of shiplap to go around the longest two sides.

am i correct or have i lost you? lol

im not calculating the 2 shorter sides (the door and the back wall) yet as i want to make sure im this is correct first.

hope it makes sense and someone can confirm i need 14 oieces for the 2 side stated above. if you need more info please tell me

ok i going to do this soonish now (depending on the weather)

mum thinks its a great idea that there will be no more fish stuff laying around the house) except the few essentails for my 4ft display tank

dad thinks it good but it wont fit. so i said if i can clear the space and he has enough room to store things would he be happy and he didnt react much, so i said about more money for electric etc and he said he’ll get back to me so i asked when he said end of the week (friday to me)

    anyway

    i have two options

    1) buy a pre built shed for around £235.

    2) build a shed which will cost around £120 + the shiplap which i recon will be about £70

good thing with opion 1 is
    *quick to assemble

    bad
*is it not very tall around 5ft 11 in the corners and about 6ft 6 in the center so after the time ive added board on the inside it wont be very big. considering im about 6ft 2ish it will be very tight (also forgot to mention a cieling light will be about 2 1/2 inches)
*joists might be thin and not able to hold the wieght

    good thing option 2
*make it as tall as i like (about 6ft 2 in the corners and 7 ft in the middle)
*will know its been put together with strong/good wood (ussing thicker wood than normal sheds)
*make a double door so when i take tanks in and out it will be easier (hard to find on 7ft x 5ft sheds)
*i like to build things :D

    bad
*will probably take about 2 days to contruct

all prices above are without insulation + wood for the inside
