Sorry for the newbie question… but is F1 the wild-caught generation, or is that F0? And does anybody ever say F0, or what do they say?

For now I’m manually approving all registrations until I can get a new (better) CAPTCHA module installed.

I see a few spam registrations that have come through. Am going to install an improved CAPTCHA module now. Meanwhile if there are any more spam postings, please be patient. Moderators, please let me know if the recent measures have helped at all. Thanks guys!

OK I’ve just implemented something that WILL stop spambots from registering.

Now as for humans posting spam, they can only get as far as one post before we moderators hunt them down and exile them.

I have a feeling this measure should reduce most of the spam we’ve been getting.

A big THANK YOU to all the moderators for their help so far in keeping this site spam-free!!!

I am looking into some other (secret) options as well. I’ve been monitoring the behavior of the spammers and their content, so soon I should have more solutions in place.

Actually I’ve just made a fix. It should help deter the spambots.

Oh, bad idea to drop fry in on another tank with bigger fish! The new fish are always lacking “home ground” advantage, and even more so when they’re babies! Don’t forget that most fish don’t have maternal instinct like mammals do… so they will eat their young!
