ParticipantWow, beautiful! Yeah I’ve heard of Christmas moss before. Just don’t know where to get it… haven’t seen it at any of the LFS’ here. I’d snap it up real quick if I saw it. Thanks for the post!!

ParticipantHaha!! Tx Atlantis. Wow that was back in July.
Sorry Ste, but I guess the 2nd Person award is still up for grabs.
celestialdude
ParticipantGreat job Ste. Did you get a chance to take any photos of the eggs? You could win the award for “first person to photograph Celestial Pearl Danio eggs”.

ParticipantWow amazing, and tx for sharing the story, u must feel proud. This fish reminds me of the Dwarf Gourami plus the German Blue Ram, all rolled into a cichlid package. All the best with breeding more of these!

ParticipantWow!!! The pictures keep getting better. These recent ones really flatter the Celestial Pearl Danio and is a great reminder of why we are into this hobby… i.e. breeding this fish.

ParticipantNice! I like that planted tank you have.
Nice cats and kitties too! I’m actually a cat lover myself. Haha… fish and cats… what a combo!!
celestialdude
ParticipantThat is looking good…. great work Atlantis!!
celestialdude
ParticipantI recommend frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp!!
celestialdude
ParticipantNeatoes! You have some rare-looking cories. Also, I didn’t know there was such a thing as a freshwater sole. Rare stuff indeed!!

ParticipantAnd now for today’s update…
This is strange, there are 3 snails in the tank, and Apple Snails are NOT hermaphrodites — meaning they ARE either male or female… so somebody laid more than 1 egg clutch. Wow, that’s a lot of eggs to lay!!
celestialdude
ParticipantHmm… yeah I was thinking of raising them in a snails-only tank.
Mine are doing well because I feed them and the Corys algae wafers, so they never get hungry. I’ve had snails dying on me before because they starved.
celestialdude
ParticipantSokay…. I have the same problem actually, which is why, no pics of my CPD fry yet.
