Well technically their my dwarf sunset’s fry, but still
Counted 3 so far. Strange thing was the first was born in a bucket with the other four while I was fixing the divider and having dinner.
Just in time. I also bought fry food today. Maternal instint I guess.
3 so far. They’re really cute. Very orange already, which is good cuz they’re pretty small.
Looks like I’ll spend a good amount of time tank watching.

October 4, 2007 at 4:10 am #12465atlantis_childParticipantCamera is very bad at taking pictures of small things, and these are really small. I’ll try though, and if I get a good one, I’ll post.
I am not in the ‘great at taking pic.’s of aquaria” club of this forum you know…
Divider still not working. Fish going wherever they please. Don’t see any more babies, but then, it’s hard enough finding the adults. Hopefully find more tomorrow. Both females are still really big. These were Jesse’s babies I’m pretty sure, cuz I found the second and third in the tank while Amber was in the bucket still.
The girls are hanging out together, and the guys are chasing each other again, but leaving them alone.

They actually look much better from the side, but harder to take picture of that.

October 8, 2007 at 10:58 pm #12519atlantis_childParticipantThanx ste.
They might be big for fry, but damn they’re small! Luckily these are bright orange. Hard to miss no matter how small.
It’s probably a good thing I get these fry before those of another species. Oh… who am I kidding, my galaxies like to flirt, but just won’t ever commit.

October 8, 2007 at 11:12 pm #12522albatrossParticipantCongrates Atlantic Now you can sit back and watch the little devils GROW. Its amazing how quick they do,but i dont recomend you measure them every week as it will be bad for your eyesight lol
October 9, 2007 at 2:21 am #12529atlantis_childParticipantGood luck with the babies. Are they in a seperate tank?
They are in a mesh box breeder trap in the platy tank for now. It’s huge for the 3 of them right now, but I plan on making a bigger thing for when there are more, and they get bigger.
Expecting more fry any time now.

October 16, 2007 at 3:04 am #12619atlantis_childParticipantI think my fry have more than doubled in size. They’re more active now too. They’re on the baby food still, but am thinking of what to feed them next.
