i no this is a fairly old post, but i thought i would answer it anyway. i have some scarlet badis, males only i did have a female but she dissapeared. they are great little fish. some say males dont get on together at all but i have two males in a tank together. they are often patrolling together and have never had any damage. they are great tankmates for my cpds the females are even smaller although rather drab in comparison to the bright red and turquoise male patterning. get them. you wont regret it.
today i have seen fry in a tank that had my cds’ in. i have just put a trio in a breeding tank to try for more.
what type of wood is that would you uplode some more pics of youre tank from diferent views and explain how you created it. wheres all the glass? how did you hide it? pics that explain this would b fantastic. i realy like this tank.
thanks for youre reply i have got 7 of these. only one has black in its tail at the moment, it is a light grey really but i put that down to young age. so i guess i only have one male. i keep them in an unheated tank 80 cm x 20cm x20 cm it has a sump filter with small black gravel bogwood and java moss temp is 23/24 in the day but goes down to 18/19 over night. is that too cool.
