i went back and bought 4 more. so now i have 10.
i have one that is quite pale and not very patterned, but it has been for over 3 weeks now so it cant be ill. must just be a pale fish. its also larger than the rest of them.

had mine for over a month now and they all seem to be doing rather well, not noticed any breeding yet, but my tank is heavily planted and has a lot of caves and stuff, so if they are i probably wouldnt see them til lthey had grown a bit.

how are yours doing?

well it seems it does cause a problem, got back last night and most of the leaves had fallen off and had gone all sloppy and were all over the place, so i scooped it out and chucked it in the bin, so i advise no one to buy it, though it does look nice. its only been in there 2 weeks

i did a little reaserch and bought some propper aquatic plants off ebay today, so hopefully they will be here soon and i can re plant it.

it does offer the question though why aquatic shops sell stuff that arnt meant to go in tanks, and why they just seem to sell you stuff without asking what tank you have, seems from now on im going to research before getting anything else.

i dont know the names of the plants, they looked nice in the aquarium shop with the rest of the aquatic plants. so i guessed they must be ok in the tank.

ill keep an eye on them though and see if they stat rotting, dont want to mess the tank up

thanks for pointing that out to me. im kinda still learning about plants and stuff.
