Also remember that it is good to feed fry even more frequently than normal fish.

With the majority of my fish I feed 2-3 times a day, offering a variety of foods for each meal. In the wild these fish will have food available throughout the day, perhaps constant. I find the ‘little and often’ approach is beneficial to most fishes long ter growth and caues less polution as there is a steady flow of organic waste, it has also been scientifically proved that it is advantageos for the majority of freshwater fish (predominantly smaller species) as their digestive systems have more time to produce their waste.

This is not true for a whole other range of fish including large, carnivorous fish which usually only get a few feeds a week (depending on this species) this has given them the adaption for their gut to digest large quantities of food with no harm. I feed my Mudskippers different live, frozen and dry foods every 3 days.

I would include the Celestial pearl Danio as a fish which sits in the ‘little and often section’ as it is most likely that this small species has food throughout the day.

Why does age make any difference?

I’m planning on buying the celestial Pearl Danios from my LFS (whom which the owners I know very well) and then when/if I produce fry give them some fish for credit as well as a few other local shops.

I’m only 14, and I’ve given fish to LFS a few times before.
