Good, just remember to do water changes every 2-3 days.
Liud21ParticipantI keep it between 75-80f I find that helps them grow faster, but I’ve had fry in water as cold as 60f and they were fine.
Liud21ParticipantHere is a good video of what you should be looking for in your infusoria culture http://youtu.be/xeWEVIIV8CE
Just remember to feed little at a time and to turn ur filter back on after an hour or so.Liud21ParticipantNot that I know of, I had a female alone in a one gallon for over 6 months. She didn’t die. I had trouble finding more stock around where I live. She died after spawning many times for me, I guess from stress and stuff….
Liud21ParticipantHey grads on the fry, the best thing you can do right now is make a infosoria culture. Take a jar preferably glass fill with water from your shrimp tank, take a piece of lettuce about half the size of a dollar bill. Shred it up and put it in the jar, take a dime size amount of boiled egg yolk crush it up with a bit of water, pour that in the jar. Now place the jar by a window that will remain above 50+ degrees, along with good direct sunlight. I. About 4-5 days you should see clouds of tiny micro dots swimming near the surface. It helps if you have a magnifying glass if you have bad eye sight.
Take a small container , some airline and siphon some of the infosoria out into the container. Try to avoid the lettuce matters and stuff near the surface. Stop the filter in your shrimp tank and pour the infosoria in and watch your frys belly turn white and Blum. After a week on that I suggest getting hikari first bites I believe they have them at petsmarts. It’s not the best way but it’s what you can get at petsmarts. I suggest ordering some micro worms off eBay, those are a lot better as 2nd food.
Liud21ParticipantWhat you should do is run down to your local “Subway” the sandwich shop, grab some straws. Go home attach it to an air line then siphon the moss every 2 days. Just make sure the siphoned water is in that container/pitcher you have in that photo. Take a lamp and angle it from the side of the pitcher near the bottom so the light cuts across the bottom. If there is any eggs, they will appear as little clear marbles with a yolk that is clear yellowish on the inside. Then do as you please with the eggs.
