The rio 240 communitytank, the wildcapured cpd’s are doing well in this tank:
glennParticipanti’m sorry, it’s not my intention to use all the space with my pics, the cpd fry week after week pics are usefull for the members, the other pics i’ll remove to make space for others.

i’ve put the 16 wildcapture cpd’s from the aqua-40 into the rio 240, and they aren’t shy anymore! i think when you’ve shy cpd’s , a bigger tank with lots of other fishes is the answer(i think)

glennParticipantwow! very nice pics!!

glennParticipantno , it’s a little bit above on the right of that white thing, it has a fine round shape and you can see a tiny, little bit of an embryo( i hope you can see it…sorry)

So…What do the eggs look like?
Sorry Atlantis child, it’s not a good picture but’s the only one i have, it’s the most round “thing”in the centre hidden in the javamoss:
glennParticipantthanks for the compliments!
a few pictures:
glennParticipanti tell you: the first thing in the morning when i put on the light i saw a parent chasing a fry and eating it up! i was worried , i wanted to save the fry of being eaten up by the parents so i catched the parents and placed them back in the aqua-40 tank with the other adult cpd’s. then i was searching for fry, and i was glad that i found that day 9 fry’s and the day’s after i found eggs and more hatched fry.
glennParticipantthe aqua-65 tank without flash:
the aqua-65 tank taken with flash:
it’s better to take pictures for a total shot of the group with flash, but for a total shot of the tank it’s better that you don’t use a flash:
shrimppallet time!!:
glennParticipantthe first day the parents in my breeding tank left the fry alone, so i also thought:”well that’s nice! they aren’t eating there youngs!”, but a day later the fry were chased and eaten up!
But there are more cpd keepers with the parents and fry together and they live happy together, so you can keep them together but i wouldn”t count on it that it will stay that way…glennParticipantthan you’ve luck that the parents didn’t eat them, i saw after 2 days that one parent was chasing and eating fry! so i wouldn’t gamble on it to put new cpd’s with one day old fry…the fry will be recognized as food.
