Wow! Super nice tank. It looks great!
What’s the odd glass thing on the right of the tank? Looks like a weird bubble? I don’t see an airline going to it, so I don’t think it is a CO2 diffuser.
dgphelpsParticipantI did a big replanting two weeks back and pulled out most of the overgrown mosses. When I did that I found the 3rd adult I thought had died way back. That gave me hope that they wouldn’t beat up the fry.
So today, at almost 2 cms I let the fry go into the main tank. He went straight to the adults and started schooling with them. They didn’t act aggressively towards him or anything. I just hope he can fight for food on his own. We’ll see!
dgphelpsParticipantGreat news! Glad to know they should do fine. I actually have some nice clumps of javamoss in the tank along with many other plants for cover.
They completely ignore my juvenile shrimp. Have you had any luck getting your shrimp to breed and grow up successfully with the danios and maculatas?
Do we have a specific place on this forum to upload pictures of our homemade danio habitats? (Edit, noticed the Photo / Video section. Maybe I will get some pictures of my setup there this weekend.)
dgphelpsParticipantI have a 37 gallon planted tank with 3 celestials, 15 rasbora maculata, and 12 red cherry shrimp. So far they seem to be doing well together, though the RCS haven’t started to breed.
Does this seem like a happy little community? The celestials hang at the bottom of the tank until feeding time most of the time.
