I vote for platies. Mine are dwarf and the dumbest fishs ever. I have three and they have major gender confusion. Practically all the time they chase each other and try to mate. They have exterior uh, parts, so it’s pretty darn obvious. To everyone but them anyway. :roll:

Any one else want to tell stories about their lacking in intelligence fish, or ones they know of?

My old porcupine puffer. He was definitly far from dumb but he was lacking common sense. He’d see me with the cup of food in my hand and he gets so excited that he is like attacking the glass. So I poured food in and he’d keep lookin and swimming at me. I had to hide behind the couch and watch him eat otherwise he’d just keep swimming to me.

Oh, forgot to add. My platies also eat bubbles. Dunno how that works out for them. Fish can’t burp. Can they…?

I believe they can. When a puffer gets air in ther system you have to burp it out of them but it can come out naturally. I think same would apply to a platy.
