Hi chr15-8, I think I’m up to 14 fry, but like you I’m hoping there won’t be anymore until later in the year. I’m still working out how I’m going to keep everything alive when I move in August! Hopefully I won’t need to worry too much about temperature.

Kif im honest with you when i redecorated my room i forgot to plug in the heater on both my adults and fry tank this was left like this for over 2 nights (3 days) and the adults slowed down abit (not swimming as much and not eating as much but they still eat) the fry didnt change and where fine darting about like normal couldnt tell on eating due to the size
anyway good luck with the move

July 2, 2007 at 5:27 pm #11541chr15_8Participantjust found another 6 fry
looks like im going to have to keep them over my holiday and hope my aunt looks after them properly
the first breed ones are now getting bigish and can see spots on them however no colour yet.
bad new for the other 15
they all died we beleive it was due to stress and change in water as they were only young (it was about an hour drive)chris
edit: add another one to that so its now 7

July 10, 2007 at 8:00 am #11635celestialdudeParticipantOh, bad idea to drop fry in on another tank with bigger fish! The new fish are always lacking “home ground” advantage, and even more so when they’re babies! Don’t forget that most fish don’t have maternal instinct like mammals do… so they will eat their young!
