Will CPD’s school with other danios?

    Hi,

    Would celestial pearl danios school with zebra danios or pearl danios? Or would they be more likely to keep to themselves and school separately?

    What if you had 6 zebra danios and 2 CPD’s?

    I had zebra danios in with my CPDs for a short while … they had nothing to do with each other. Not only that, it was almost impossible to get food to my CPDs because the zebras were such fast and aggressive eaters. CPDs are passive, including at feeding time. You need to choose carefully what fish you put with them. As of now, I have mine in a 20G species tank (CPDs are the only fish, with some shrimp).

    My younger CPDs school together with microrasbora. Kinda cute actually.

    Hi satoshi!

    I would agree with tedr108. Zebras and pearls are much too quick and aggressive to play well with CPD’s.

    I have housed them with Emerald Dwarf Danio (Danio erythromicron) and Chopra Danio (Danio choprae) with good success.
