Does anybody know what the ideal hardness of the water for breeding galaxies is, or where I could find out the information? I just tested bought a test kit for the first time and testing my water indicated that it is quite hard. Does hardness of water affect breeding at all?
I’d rather not tamper with adding softening stuff unless I have to.
For those that have bred galaxies, how is your water?

)Hi a_c, I wouldn’t worry too much about the hardness of your water, I have hard water, everything furs up with limescale, and a ph of 8, but still getting spawning, if not huge numbers of fry. (up to 13 now)
I know what you mean about being impatient, I’m scanning the tank constantly looking for fry, it took 2 months before I saw my first. Seriously want to set up a spawning tank, but still need to rehome my Betta first!
