What’s in with your CPD’s?
I have a paradise fish feeder guppies and a betta and there are no problems.

Yep mine are on their own also in a 35 litre well planted tank, if fact you cannot even see the fish, i just keep checking for fry when i feed.
I did have them in a large community tank with various tetras,guppies, barbs and catfish.. They seemed a lot more confident with other fish around in the larger tank.

I just replaced my 3 white clouds with my (only 3 now ) galaxies for five neon tetra. The WC’s weren’t being good buddies.

They’re doing great. Shoaling together and galaxies are much more confident with them around.

I’m growing out my latest batch with young Melanoteania praecox and some Corydoras rabauti and Brochis splendens.

Right now… my 3 CPDs (one died) are with 2 female Florida Flagfish (they’re a kind of killifish) and the 1 male guppy. They have their own 5-gallon with lots of plants (CO2-supplemented) including java moss and string algae so hopefully that will help induce breeding and make it a safe place to raise fry.

I keep mine in speices tanks 12L 5 of them and 112L 40 of them, they are not shy at all.

Seems the greater number the number in the school the bolder they are.

Dunno if having more increasing chance of getting fry. To make plainer, if there were 1 male and 1 female together in a tank would those 2 be as likely to breed together with more of them around? Does numbers make a difference?
