Spawning triggers?

    My five CPDs have settled down well. They are plumping up nicely and I have two males and three females. Is there anything I can do to trigger them to spawn?

    What are the tank mates?make sure they are not competing,also I let the males establish their territories for a while then add the females.

    Nothing really other than three L134 plecs which keep themselves to themselves. Other than that just cherry shrimp.

    Plecs and shrimps will eat the eggs for sure.I had the same situation a year ago.Move them to the seperate tank and you will see fries

    They don’t really need a trigger. I use high protein foods, followed by water changes. They will eat eggs and fry. I have the most success when I remove the parents after 5 – 7 days.
