One of my 4 CPD’s has a swollen belly. Could it be pregnant? I have never thought about breeding but I would like to keep the fry alive. Please tell me what I should do.
It could very well be filling up with eggs getting ready to spawn. Celestial Pearl Danio are egg scatters and as such don’t get pregnant like live bearing fish.
It just depends on your set-up as to what course of action to take. There are several different breeding set-ups detailed here on the forum.

And if you don’t do anything some fry will survive anyway. During approx three months I have had 1 + 8 + 2 frys survive by doing very little except feeding with artemia which the grown ones love as well. Seems that some fry find enough to eat in my aquarium until they become large enough to eat the shrimp.
