Apart from what the others have mentioned I also noticed that my adults eat liquifry No3, they even go to the top for it.

Mine seem to enjoy HBH Baby Bites guppy and fry food, along with Tetramin Granules which I crush. They don’t seem to like any flakes I’ve tried. Occasionally I give them crushed freeze dried baby gamerus (tiny shrimp by Tetra). They ignore shrimp pellets by Wardley, along with Wardley’s freeze dried tubiflex, and krill.

I haven’t had mine long, but currently I’m feeding an assortment of flake, tetra bits, frozen brine shrimp, and shrimp pellets.

They really enjoy the flake and brine shrimp, rest is kind of hit and miss so far.

I’m going to try some frozen blood worms after reading this thread…

I feed all of my fish Ocean Nutrition’s line of flake food:

    Brine Shrimp Plus
    Formula Two
    Community Formula
    Spirulina Flakes

crushed into fine peaces and I switch out the type every day. I haven’t found a fish yet outside of pleco’s and Discus that won’t eat it.

I try to feed live food several times a week. I rotate using daphnia, mosquito larvae, grindal worms, & banana worms.

Prepared diet consists of golden pearls, shrimp sticks, algae wafers and on rare occasions crushed color flake.

Breeders get more live than prepared and fry start off with green water/infusoria, then on to micro/walter/banana worms. Supplement with powered golden pearls as needed.

I couldnt get mine to eat Hikari Micropellets! (go figure..)

Best foods ive found is small frozen bloodworm and ‘tiny fish food’ which i purchased from snailshop.
Raised fry on liquifry followed by powerdered golden pearl.

I have two tanks for my cherry shrimp and at the moment the shrimp in with my 15 adult cpd are reproducing much much more quickly than my others. Very strange.

BioTech Ultra Fry Food No.3 for the adults. It’s all natural and they just love it. Also add microworms but only twice a week.

I’ve been feeding the adults with New Life Spectrum (NLS) Small fish formula as well as frozen/live food from time to time. As for the young, they were raised on liquifry one, until they are big enough to eat crushed NLS ‘grow’. Took them some time to take to it, but now they LOVE the stuff, and it’s doing great for their colours. Mine are on grey andn ot black gravel, but still getting the kind of stunning colours like the ones you often see on these forums.

Mine love Hikari First Bites and Hikari Micro Pellets (not mini)

They show less interest in frozen tubifex and chopped bloodworm. My fish have come on so much since feeding the Hikari foods.
