    Hi all,
I joined this group because I just got six CPD’s. I have them in a ten gallon with plants, four Cory’s and two Scalet Badis. I just love these little guys.

I’m from Virginia. I ordered them online and they actually came from California. I’ve never seen them locally, but I did not look that hard. It’s so much easier from your armchair.

I’m glad yours arrived safely. Mine arrived yesterday 3 were DOA and the other 3 died 6 hours later.

Not a good start to a bad weekend

Aww, that’s too bad, squiggley. Are you going to get more from there, or find another source or what?

Welcome both, by the way. Most of us don’t bite. Watch out for ste 12000 though…

Sorry for the losses….squiggley. Mine came out of the bag hungry and feeding well. I had mine shipped overnight, how did you receive yours?

They were couriered overnight but think because of the way they were packaged they got bashed about.

The came in a 18x14x14″ polystyrene lined box in 30×14″ double bags containing approx 2 gals of water. Nothing was put in to support the bag from moving arround.

I have just started posting my fish over here in the UK.
I use a cardboard box lined with polystyrene and in this i place the fishbag 7×16 inch.. I have started double bagging them now as one split in transit and the buyer lost the fish, I use tons of shredded paper to stop the bag moving and to conserve some of the heat. Finaly a heat pack is selotaped to the polystyrene lid and the box is sealed.
The box is wrapped in FRAGILE tape and posted by Royal mail special delivery. This is guarenteed to arive before 1pm next day, so if i post at 5pm before the final collection of the day the fish are in transit for less than 24 hours.
Upto now i have posted 12 packages and a total of 122 fish, i am proud to say i have only lost a total of 4 fish in transit.
Did you get a refund from the seller?? I offer a refund system if i receive a photo of the fish dead in the sealed bag no later than 2pm..

Should get refund on the fish, seller gives your money back if the don’t last 5 days.

Hopefully will get some more from an alternative supplier soon.

    Welcome to the forum, squiggley!
If you plan on breeding them (we hope you do!), keep in mind that corys are known to eat their eggs.
