    Hello everyone..

    A new tank from a newbie. Tank is 250 Liters and everything is selfmade. From tank to background. The tank is occupied by:

    5 Dario dario aka Scarlet badis
    4 Applesnails
    +/- 40 cherry shrimps
    5 Trichopsis pumila aka Pygmy gourami

    I have plans to put a group of 40 Pearl Danios in the aquarium. I’ve got 18 danios at the moment, which i am trying to breed. Started today with some animals in a 60 L aquarium. I’ll keep you posted.

    But what do think about the tank??

    GREAT looking tank – reminds me of some of the Amazon river biotopes I’ve seen.

    Can you describe the material on the sides and background please? Looks very natural!

    Hi Jim,

    The background consist of polystyrene which I carved in many angles en curves. Then a layer of a kind of concrete (used to paste tiles in the bathroom (tile adhesive??)) which I painted in a natural colour. Afther that a layer of epoxy resin was put on the background in combination with sand, so the background will not shine that much.

    Hopefully you will understand it. English is not my native language.
