Simon, im sorry about today but since i spoke to you on thursday iv been in bed with the flu! Never mind im sure we can meet up soon. By the way the new layout looks superb…The leaves are huge, have you put them in yet?? a few chaps on another forum i use state that they can turn the water the colour of cola overnight….Your Valient Gouramis will love you lol…

Your Nigerian Reds have settled nicely into my tank but still havent spawned..I havent spoke to you recently so didnt know you had started on your fishroom! make sure you take plenty of pics to share with the forum..By the way to anyone reading i have forgot my manners and have not yet introduced my cousin Richard to the forum, he is currently fish mad and trying to pursuade either his mum or dad to let him build a fishroom in their garden shed so he can emulate his older (wiser,better looking)cousin :wink: and start to breed his fish.. In answer to your question about stopping mollys breeding then im sure you would be aware that the only real way to stop them is to remove all the females and only keep males, the females store sperm and can fetilize countless batches from one mating so if you remove the males you will still be stuck with fry every month.

Hope you are on the mend. I went to wiagn on sunday with the family. Unfortunately the indonesian delivery didnt come… but its due in before xmas!!!! I may get some males for my ladies quite soon!

Cheers Simon, iv been off work since last thursday but should be back in tomorrow. Shame about Pier aquatics, its a pity they dont have a regular update for the website, it could be so much better than it is. I always feel slightly peeved when i travel up there and they dont have much that i like. They are suppost to specialize in L number catfish and corydoras but for the last six months they have not stocked what i would call a vast selection??
Im so glad to be back online, iv got a few threads to post on here tonight later on after i have done the water changes. Im mad busy today iv just had three really nice people one after the other to buy fish..
Simon do you still want any of these rams i only have about 15 left, and i think out of them there are only a few males left. Did you want a sexed pair or are you ok with two or one females, if the females are ok then there is no charge at all, you can have them with compliments. Let me know.Was after 2 sexed pairs Steve… Happy to pay the going rate as I know they are good stock.
I’ll call you at some point over the next few days – btw if I dont, ring me.. my head is up my ass at present. Am completely run down after a virus I had a few weeks ago. I seem to forget loadsa stuff. Good news is that I’ve taken a good few days off work to try and rest. I think I’ll rest and play with my tanks a little.
Oh, and as a complete aside – if you are heading up to Bold health let me know… if you have the time you could pop round to mine…. One of my vaillants has a funny white spot on his nose and I’d appreciate an experienced pair of eyes. To my mind it looks a little like lymphocytosis (but I’ve never seen it before) or fungus. I’m currently treating with pimafix just in case.
Unfortunately my mobile phone cant take good enough pictures of it for the internet. The good news is that I’m getting a new camera for Chrismas
Anyway.. I digress.. I’d better get back to cleaning the Kitchen before the wife catches me skiving!
Ha ha i hope you have finished the dishes now…I will pop in but i am really not sure on when it will be, i have work all week and have to be straight home to post fish on Tuesday, thursday and friday this week, wednesday my son Ben has football practice so im rushing around then, I will most probibly nip down around 8ish one night if thats ok but no promises when that would be. I also have no experiences with lymphocytosis, i would assume that it may just be a wound from fighting or a knock..See you soon.

i was sorting out ma java fern (spliting it up) 4 ma new bogwood n wen i was positioning it in ma tank all 4 ov em were on me like sharks….
1 more minute with them and i would be handless lol :lol:
i made ma own bs hatcher…it worked…used a cycle bottle (bit small)
but it worked.
ill have 2 call in 1 nyt soon with ma dad…but working most nyts dis week n av footy tues n thurs…..i can ring ya agen 2moz coz ma credit comes back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m still not happy with the tank atm, but am currently waiting until the pogostemion grows in to see how it looks. I’ll be pluming in pressuriesed co2 soon so that should help things.
