So my cpd are super super shy. I have a large ornament they always hide behind/under.

I hardly ever see them. I added some chili rasbora to see if it should help them feel less skittish. Didn’t work. Would it be okay to remove the ornament so that they come out more? Or would it be too stressful for them? There are a bunch of plants as well.

    Thanks

(will try and attach pic soon)

Edit 2: there are currently 11 cpd in the tank

It generally works just the opposite, with more cover they become less shy. If you remove cover they will only become more shy. In my experience, if they are wild caught fish they will probably always be very timid. I figure that in the wild due to their size, they are near the bottom of the food chain. As such, it doesn’t pay to be too brave.
