Do to my current constraints on where I live I can only have my 1 tank, 20H. My idea to breed CPD’s was to grow my plants and mosses to the top of the tank for a safe spot or a mesh breeder box to save a few fry at a time. It’s pretty heavily stocked with mostly stems, some crypts and mosses. The only other decently sized container I have is my 5 gallon bucket for pre-treating water in.
Any tips or critiques would be helpful.
    *I plan on ordering 5 CPD’s FYI.

    Hi

That should work fine but its not easy to find and catch any young before the adults eat them. I am using a similar system to the one you plan and in the last two months have only caught four, although three have for some reason survived the mouths of the parents in the tank. Java moss and floating plants are probably the best for protecting the eggs/fry. Good luck!

For the ones that you put in the breeder what have you fed them? And did you feed the ones that survived in the tank?

I got some micro powder food which along with the tiny life in the moss feeds them fine. I feed both in the trap and in the tank.
