how smart are cpd’s?

how smart are these guys? i have 7 in with a crayfish. now under normal sercumstances that cray couldnt catch a fast swimming little fish, BUT these dumb cpd’s hide in the same decore as the crayfish… its worrying me. i think ill have to remove the adult cray and maybe put a baby cray in(smaller then the cpd’s)

but wtf man, why do these cpd’s wanna hide in the same exact spot?? dont they understand that cray can eat them?

I’m not so sure there are crayfish in their natural environment… they probably don’t recognize them as a threat.

I have some adults in with full grown Marble crayfish about 4″ long. Knock on wood, but no problems yet. They have been housed together for months.

They just look for the best hiding spot just like the cray, both are viewed as prey in their natural environment
