    Hello.
I am new to the forum and to the CPD. I recently found out about them and would love to set up a tank. I want to breed them because they are so rare. I found this great article on breeding and want a set up similar to it. http://www.upperorchard.net/galaxybreeding.html
How about caring for the fry? I think separating them from the parents in their own tank would be best, but how should I set up said fry tank? Fully planted, or empty with just some moss? Type of filter? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
    Thank you!

Hi Kim – Welcome to the forum!

I “grow-out” my fry in their own 10 gallon tanks. I like to keep a good portion of moss in each tank for the micro-fauna that grow there. Each tank also has an air driven sponge filter. I typically feed them “golden pearls” from Kensfish.com, it’s under specialty food. Start out with the very fine dust and move up in size as your fish grow. I also feed decapsulated brine shrimp eggs.

    Good luck with your CPD!

    Dennis
