Females paying more attention to each other?

My CPDs have settled very well now. They are more confident and the females are getting quite nice and plump. I’m suprised to see that the females spend a lot of time dancing around each other and chasing each other, where as the males seem to just watch from a distance. I would have expected it to be the other way round?
It is right that the males are always quite thin as such, they certainly aren’t fattening out like the females.
