    Hi all
I thought that it might be a good idea to start a topic where we all can post information, links, articles etc. about the status of the CPD.
As far as I know it is endangered therefor it is important that the we who keep it also breed it. Perhaps a topic like this will enlighten the responsibility we all share and also encourage more people to breed CPDs, not just “consume” them.

Unfortunetly for the CPD, it represents a multitude of creatures on this planet that are exploited, by those who breed for self
gratification, not for the proliferation of the animal.
Are there any left in the wild at all? or has every water source been drained of this exotic creature? how many responses will follow to
    prove this statement wrong?

There are still plenty of wild ones left. Originally people thought the pond they were originally captured in was empty and no CPDs were left, but people soon found out that there are lots of little ponds holding CPDs now.
Most stores will only do TB CPD’s also to help keep the species safe.

    Hi Crazedpuffer!!

Have you seen CPD in local shops?? I’ve been looking here without success, & thankful to hear there are still a few places where these creatures can live in peace!!

I got my cpds for £4 each!!! I want to breed them to get more into the hobby. I’m sure there are plenty left in the wild and very few are seen in the LFS.
