Do you need to cycle an outdoor tub?

Just as the title says, do you need to cycle an outdoor tub? I’m planning on starting one this week and was just wondering if I can get the fish right away, or if I have to wait first.thanks!
If everything is new, the same rules that apply to aquariums would apply with outdoor tubs too. I generally throw in a bunch of plants and the fish go right in….. can’t remember the last time I “cycled” a tank or a garden tub for that matter.
