    Hey gals and guys,

I had a massive die-out in my aquarium a week ago. I cleaned my CO2 diffuser with chlorine and washed the same careful way I always did before (like 10 times!), but it seems that this time wasn’t enough. On a small 10 gallon aquarium, any small amount of toxins don’t go unnoticed, and all of my 12 CPDs dies, along with my two Erythromicrons. I wake up in the morning and there they were all dead on the bottom of the tank. My Siamese algae eater, my Ottos and my amano and cherry shrimps were all fine, but the smaller fish died overnight. It was a sad week, looking at my mostly empty tank, let me tell you. I haven’t had a single death before and the tank looks amazing, they were breeding and living happily until then.
Two days ago, I was cleaning the tank of some larger leaves when I realized I had FRY! They left me with eggs that hatched after their deaths! Talk about a present for my mistakes.
The fry is going strong now that there is no predator to take them. I’m so happy, I can’t describe. Now I’m working to keep those guys healthy and happy, like their parents. Hopefully I will have a full school like before.
I’ll post pics as soon as they are a bit larger.
Happy ending to a very sad story.
