    Glenn,

Hope I didn’t miss this info above, but would you mind telling us what brand of shrimp pellets you use? I would like to try these out.

Very nice and informative post, by the way … thanks.

    Glenn,

Thanks for the tip on the shrimp pellets. I ended up mail ordering the pellets since no LFS stocked them. All of my fish seem to enjoy them.

WOW! This was a beautiful thread to browse through. I love the pictures, especially the growing stages. So it took about 12 weeks to be a good size and color, I see. That was one of my questions, now it has been answered.

I am trying to get my hands on some of these lovely fish here in Canada, no luck so far but I am still trying. :) I would love to breed them.

Thanks for posting so many awesome photos! :D

    Hello Glenn :)

First of all: VERY beautifull and fantastic pictures you have taken! You must have a very good camera ;)

I will get my first CPD’s in about 10 days, and I look forward to the 10 beautifull fishes :)

Can you tell a littlebit about how you breed them? Is it just in your beautifull planted tanks you show at these pages or is it in another aquarium?
My own idea to try to breed them, is to put a pair into a little 12 litres aquarium, with a lot of javamos and other plants they can lay the eggs in. How long time I shall let the pair be into the aquarium I don’t know? Maybe 3-4 days? My thought about to put a pair into the tank at a time is because that other females or males maybe would eat the eggs as soon the breeding pair lay the eggs. In other words that the surplus fishes in the breeding tank would eat the eggs.
I have never tried the fish before, so it is just a loose idea to breed them in this way, but do you think my own idea is good? If you want you can also tell me about how you get them to spawn with you? :D

My english is not quite good. I hope you understand me!
