Cyclops – good condioning food?

Well the title says in all really. Are live cyclops good, nutricious food for fishies? I’ve been feeding my galaxies frozen brine shrimp, shrimp, regular fish food ground finer, and ground dried bloodworms (not often though, cuz much of it floats :roll: )

My fish have really colored up and there’s been chasing for a while, but no mating behavior.

Yes, I am getting impatient. Everything should and has been fine for a while now, but no fry at all.

i havent seen any mating behavior rxcept chasing like you however i still have got 19 fry

i only feed mine live brine shrimp every day im going to try bloodworm (frozen) as im going away soonish and i dont think my aunt (who looks after my fish while away) will have enough time to feed them live

but im sure good things will come to those who wait :wink:

Yeah, I know, waiting…

I just looked over at my tank from where I’m siting at the computer and there’s this one galaxy, I think it’s male, going crazy. He’s swimming around fast and bouncing his back fin off all the plants.

Weird.

Mine love frozen daphnia, micro worms, frozen bloodworm and bbs. I’ve given up on the flake food as it tends to float and they don’t seem particularly interested in it anyway.

I feed mine on flake, frozen bloodworms, brineshrimp and the fry foods from ZM products.. These guys have a excellent reputation amongst breeders and produce top quality fry foods.

I see this has turned into a thread about what everyone feeds their galxies. Oh well, that’s useful too. I wish there was a “I’m still waiting for these darn fish to make babies” smilie. Guess this one’s the closest.
