I have 5 CPD in a 5 gallon pressuried CO2 planted tank with lots of moss and some stem plants in somewhat of an iwagumi style. There are alot of hiding places but want to know will my CRS fry be safe w/ the CPD. The adults CRS seem fine, but don’t want to lose the babies to the CPD.

The shrimplets would probably be made a meal by the adult CPD’s. If there is enough hiding spots, which there might not be depending on the planting of your Iwagumi, they should be fine. Of course, it’s collatoral damage. Some will get eaten, but eough should survive.

I keep my CPDs with Red Cherry Shrimp. I too have many hiding places. The CPDs look for shrimp from time to time but I’ve never seen them actually eat any. I’m sure there are some shrimplet fatalities but not too much of a problem.
