    Hello,

I’m sure this is a silly question but for all the talk about wool breeding mops no one says how to make one. From the looks of it I could just buy yarn and make a birds nest out of it and throw it in the tank … but I thought id see if anyone wanted to share some advice on it. I am currently fertilizing my java and willow moss like crazy to get it to grow, but I just don’t have anywhere near enough of the stuff for my CPD’s to breed in. Thought I’d try using fake until I had much more moss grown.

    Thanks,

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

It’s super easy to make some mops using a book to wrap the yarn around. I’ll see if I’ve got some photos, if not, perhaps I’ll take some!

    I couldn’t find my photos so here’s a link…..

I use nylon yarn as it does not rot after being wet.
