When replying to a post, there have been cases where the identity of the person posting the message gets switched to someone else’s. The resulting post appears to be from another user.
I suspect this is because two users are replying at the same time, and one of them hits Submit before the other, thus “stealing” their identity. This is definitely a bug, and has happened 3-4 times now according to reports from our active members.
I strongly recommend, that if you are going to be posting a somewhat lengthy message, please draft our your message on Notepad first, BEFORE you hit “Post Reply”, paste and then submit. This is good anyway because it allows you to save your message in case anything happens (power outage, etc).
Remember — minimize the amount of time in the “Post a reply” form page as much as you can, to avoid this happening.
I’m looking into a more permanent fix but meanwhile please bear with this method.
