Amber is still taking her sweet time about giving birth, but seems to be still getting rounder. Hopefully that’ll mean I’ll get more than 3 this time… :D

Silly gender-changing Jesse!

Summer, my best female is beginning to get larger too. Not large enough to think about putting her on the other side of the fence, but large enough to notice.

Unfortunately I noticed today she has aquired a little fungus on her side. :? Will have to get meds tomorrow.

On an after note… I should really check out and keep an eye on the others as well.

Fungus has actually become a problem at work. Usually it’s just Ich, but now fish are getting fungus, lice and tail rot too. The black moors are having the worst. Eye-fungus. Actually, the goldfish get sick the most over all. About a third are sick right now, and that’s after a few cleared from the lice.

Yesterday the last two of my favorite catfish, the neon oranges died. :( They had the tail rot, and despite my loving care didn’t make it. Don’t see why that would kill them, but just as I was near the end of my shift they took a nasty turn and I knew they were in their last hour. Didn’t want to pull them (read, take them out and kill in mercy) and told my fish roomate not to either.

I had to pull a pygmy catfish earlier. They’re also a favorite of mine, but this little guy was suffering. Actually, all of those kittens weren’t too happy, and nobody was buying any. We got in 6 a few weeks ago, so I took the remaining home for the fry in breeder net and expectant mom side of the tank. Of course, they found a way through at the side of the barrier and now go wherever they please.

I’m thinking of selealing that thing on the sides for good. I’m not likely to be changing it, and it looks greaat the way it is.

I’ll post pic’s of my renovations (including the plastic to live transformation, to the pleasure of the live plant cult I’m sure ;) )

He he… Love a good ramble. :)
