Reply To: HELP!! Male guppy attmpting baby goldfish murder!
The male’s tail is being eaten by all of the other guppies. The yellow male is no longer agressive; he just “dances” ALL THE TIME! He keeps closing up, backing up, and then opening up his fins fully to show off to a “female of the day”. Two of my females had babies so he got a chance to “let it out of his system”. I removed Nibbles and the two frogs for fear that they would eat my babies (I have lost all but one before to a dwarf frog…) and so Nibbles would 1) not be affected by the water temp, and 2) not get so fat. He’s been eating EVERYTHING he can and has plumped up quite a bit so this way I can monitor his eating habits a little better (I know from a bio project that goldfish can and will literally eat themselves to death). I have four grass plants (I don’t know what kind… Just the common Petco variety) a Lutea, and an Amazon sword.
