Reply To: HELP!! Male guppy attmpting baby goldfish murder!
I have quite a few plants for them to hide in. The male has been removed from the tank and I plan to get a lot more plants tomorrow as well as a few more females to distract from Nibbles. I’m way more worried about the frogs eating the babies than the fish eating the babies. I have had it happen before. I also might pick up a breeding net/contraption to put the female into until she has her babies so that they will be safe from all. What is it called when a fish gives birth? When dogs give birth it is called whelping. Is there an equivilent term for fish? Do you know how to coax my mystery snails out of their shells? Pardon the pun… They still haven’t come out and explored.
